"Sometimes in passing through, they found themselves brushing up against the secret names of truth."

- opening narrative in Hotel Room

THE FILM - Shortly after On The Air failed, Lynch began preproduction on his next project - ironically the 3rd television feature in a row. This time however was not to be with network TV, but rather with HBO. The idea was a series of independant stories that occur in the same hotel room.

The pilot was shot in 1992 with a set of 3 episodes, the first and third being directed by Lynch. These feature the return of some repeat Lynch players such as Alicia Witt, Harry Dean Stanton and Crispin Glover. Of note, Lynch was joined in the third episode with the writing talents of Barry Gifford - the author of the Wild At Heart novel. However, the idea of the show never caught on and the series never went past the pilot. As far as I know, the pilot never even aired on cable. See the IMDB for more information.

THE POSTERS - The pilot was never released in the theatres, and possibly not even on cable. It was however released on video. The result of this is there exist only a single poster that I am aware of - the US video release poster.
