"A great haunting film. The sweetest and most compassionate movie Lynch has ever made."

- Micheal Wilmington, Chicago Tribune.

THE FILM - At first glance, an apparant deviation in Lynch's style - David Lynch and Walt Disney? On closer examination however, more classic and common Lynch elements can be found in the film. Based on a true stroy and featuring an exceptional performance by Richard Farnsworth, it is a remarkably well done film that received wide critical acclaim. Farnsworth was nominated for Best Actor, though sadly he committed suicide a year afterwards, suffering from the cancer that plagued him during the shooting of the film. Destined to be a Lynch classic. See the IMDB for more information.

THE POSTERS - A series of beautiful posters with rich deep colors and available double sided (US and UK). Most styles have similar artwork of the sunset scene with the tractor, emphasizing the long lonely travel of Alvin Straight. Of note is the Japan one sheet - the only poster to not have a sunset scene but is instead a clear night scene.

Now a few years out from re-release, posters from the film are becoming quite hard to find. The films small release coupled with it's critical success makes it likely that posters will be quite valuable in years to come.
